“Warm welcoming, positive encouragement, respect and acceptance for students and between the students themselves are what I could see and feel every time I was at Little Gardeners. I feel very fortunate that my daughter could start her first journey of school with Little Gardeners. Ms. Ingrid is an amazing teacher. She is so loving, nurturing, caring, passionate and patient. I consulted her even with parenting questions and she was always very supporting, sharing her thoughts and ideas. Even I learned so much at Little Gardeners as a parent. The play-based learning and keen relationship with nature allowed our daughter to develop a curious mind, not only for learning the basics but also, more importantly, for herself as an independent being and for her surroundings. She learned to observe and understand different feelings and how hers and others are closely interlaced. What more can you ask! I simply loved seeing her thrive and flourish in so many possible ways. It's a great, fun and happy place for children to be!”

“This little preschool was the BEST discovery I have ever made on Oahu. The teachers are SO patient and nurturing! And I felt at peace knowing my son was safe in their care. My 3 year old son was thriving at this school! He absolutely LOVED coming to school and couldn't wait to get home to show me all of his projects and share all he had learned. From learning the basics he needed like colors, shapes and numbers to growing their own organic food for snacks and learning the different stages of a Monarch Butterfly. Even taking one home to watch and release. He was also able to talk about his feelings and learned how to be sensitive to the feelings of his friends! The teacher's unique way of teaching the children sets them apart from traditional preschools and really raises the bar on education! I only wish we didn't have to move, or we would have still been going there as long as we could! You won't regret this decision! Little Gardeners is an EXCELLENT choice for your child!!!”

"As early childhood education is very important to me, I began my search for the right preschool for my daughter almost immediately after her birth. Despite the many campuses I visited, however, I could not find one with which I felt comfortable enough to entrust my child. Many of them seemed wonderful but they were not the right choice for her. I was starting to contemplate homeschooling as it seemed like the only option I had left. When I first discovered Little Gardeners, I was cautiously optimistic; the students looked engaged, happy, and unusually independent for their age. By the end of my initial visit, I was ready to sign the registration form. Ms. Eva is an exceptional teacher and her program is everything I had wished for in my child’s preschool. Since my daughter started attending Little Gardeners, she has blossomed in all aspects of her development. Her social skills with both adults and peers have greatly improved and she loves being a member of the Little Gardeners community. She is now much more appreciative of nature and has also gained awareness of her responsibility towards the environment. I, myself, have been teaching for many years but Ms. Eva has reaffirmed my belief in the positive difference dedicated teachers can make in their students’ lives. I feel so fortunate to have found Little Gardeners."

"I would like to write in support of Ms. Eva and the Little Gardeners program. She is a wonderful teacher. My son has really blossomed under her care. She has so many qualities that suit her to teaching and caring for young children and such an impressive skill set that I hardly know where to begin. First, I will start with the personal qualities that make her a good teacher and role model. She is kind, nurturing, loving, flexible and consistent. She spends a lot of time with each child and clearly knows each child’s strengths. She can also identify where they need support and gives them extra attention in that area. I am so happy and pleased with the home school communication that Ms. Eva provides. Each month we receive a calendar with important days, information and special activities. Around holidays like Halloween, Christmas and Easter parents are invited to join the children for seasonal activities. It is really nice to get to meet the other parents and share activities together. I have spent several mornings at Little Gardeners. I love to see the children interacting. It is a happy, positive and productive place. When the inevitable conflict over toys or personal space arises, I have seen Ms. Eva facilitate a conversation so that the children think about how their behavior affected the feelings of their classmate and she guides the children through a problem solving process together. Her feedback is clear and positive. She sets consistent and clear expectations for all the children. Ms. Eva classroom management skills are so good, that giving children timeouts is unnecessary. I see my child growing by leaps and bounds in this area of social problem solving and learning how to be part of a group. I feel it is a preschool that is preparing him well for the elementary years.

"Ms. Eva has been teaching two of my children since August of 2013. Over the years, my three children have attended five different preschools. Little Gardeners stands out above all the rest for the following reasons: Ms. Eva teaches what really matters. There is plenty of innovative, high quality content in her program- everything from the creative introduction of beginning consonant sounds, to planting trees, harvesting fruit, worm composting, and recycled art. But more importantly, she teaches things like patience, cooperation, and self-control. Little Gardeners is truly unique among preschools in that the teaching of social skills is genuinely of utmost importance. And because the teachers do such a wonderful job addressing the social and emotional needs of their students, there is more time for them to truly learn and enjoy their preschool experience. Another of the teacher’s attributes that I appreciate is their professionalism. They are consistently prepared, cheerful and dependable. I am always extremely comfortable leaving my children at Little Gardeners. The learning environment they provide for their students is always well-prepared and organized. My whole family is extremely grateful to have found such wonderful teachers and highly recommend Little Gardeners' program!""
